Help people do important work better.

We design learning and capability around the job: the role, the decisions, the conditions and the standard people need to meet. We can help from strategy and frameworks through to content, delivery and evaluation.

Problems we can help with

  • People need to learn a new role, system, standard or way of working.
  • A capability framework exists, but teams cannot use it to make practical decisions.
  • Learning takes too long to build, says the same thing to every role or is hard to use when people need it.
  • Your team needs experienced help to design, build or deliver a learning program.
  • Completion is being measured, but nobody can see whether people do the job differently.

What we can do

Learning and capability strategy

Set priorities, define the operating model and connect learning decisions to the change the organisation needs.

Capability frameworks

Define what different roles need to know and do, at a level people can use for development, assessment and workforce decisions.

Learning design and development

Create role-based programs, eLearning, practice, job aids and facilitator materials that fit the way people work.

Delivery and evaluation

Run pilots and programs, support internal teams and track whether capability and performance are changing.

How we start

Understand the job

Clarify the outcome, the roles involved, the conditions people work in and what good performance looks like.

Work with the people closest to it

Use subject-matter experts, existing data and the current workflow to find what people need and what is getting in the way.

Build the solution

Choose the right mix of learning, practice, performance support, manager support and process change.

Test it in context

Pilot with real users, fix what does not hold up and agree how the organisation will maintain and measure it.

Business problem

A new climate-disclosure standard had to become role-based capability.

The Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards created new expectations across the organisation. Different roles needed different levels of knowledge and responsibility, so one generic compliance course would not be enough.

What we are doing

We are working with subject-matter experts to define role expectations and capability levels, then using that framework to shape a practical learning program. The depth changes by role while the organisation keeps one common structure.
