A working definition
What is a mining training system?
A mining training system is the connected set of roles, requirements, learning, practice, assessment, authorisations, records and operating routines used to ensure people can perform work safely and competently.
The learning management system is one component. It can manage content, enrolment, completion and records. It cannot decide what competent work looks like, which evidence is credible, who may authorise a task or when an operational change should alter a requirement.
