Privacy policy

Who we are
Future Capable is an Australian consultancy led by Greg Woulfe and operated by ELJAM Pty Ltd (ABN 46 690 099 382). This policy explains how we handle personal information through our public website and the services linked from it. For privacy questions, email hello@futurecapable.com.au.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, optional organisation and the message you send. We also record the enquiry source, when it arrived and whether an email notification was sent. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and anything you include in the email.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address and the interest you select, or the interest associated with the signup form. We also measure which page or form the signup came from.
- Bookings: our booking link takes you to Calendly. Calendly collects the contact details, meeting time and any answers you provide there, and makes the booking details available to us so we can arrange the call. Its own privacy policy applies when you use its service.
- Website visits: analytics and advertising tools may collect page URLs, referring pages, visit times, browser and device details, IP address or approximate location, and browser identifiers. We record page visits, selected contact-link clicks and whether enquiry and signup attempts succeed or fail. Newsletter events also include the selected interest and signup source. We also measure selections and results in the Explore activity and, where available, site theme preferences.
You can browse without giving us your name or email address. We need an email address to reply to an enquiry or send the newsletter. Please leave out sensitive information and personal details about other people unless they are needed for your enquiry.
Why and how we use it
We use your information to answer enquiries, discuss and deliver services, arrange calls and send the newsletter you sign up for. Analytics help us understand which pages people use and whether our forms work. Advertising measurement helps us assess our campaigns and reach people who have visited the site.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Our form tracking sends event details, not the name, email address, organisation or message entered in the form, to our analytics and advertising tools. PostHog session recording and automatic interaction capture are disabled.
LinkedIn advertising
When enabled, the LinkedIn Insight Tag runs on our public marketing pages. It helps measure visits and advertising results, including completed enquiries and newsletter signups, and supports retargeting: showing Future Capable ads to previous visitors.
LinkedIn may use cookies and collect the page URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser details, and the time of the visit. It may match a visit to a LinkedIn member account. We receive advertising reports rather than a list of individual visitors.
You can opt out of LinkedIn advertising uses through your LinkedIn ad settings or LinkedIn guest controls. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Read LinkedIn's privacy policy for details of how LinkedIn handles this information.
Cookies and browser storage
PostHog may use cookies and local browser storage to recognise repeat visits. LinkedIn may use advertising cookies. Vercel Web Analytics uses aggregated visit measurement without analytics cookies. The site may also save a theme preference locally and temporarily hold an enquiry draft in your browser session so you can carry it into the contact form.
Your browser settings let you block or clear cookies and stored site data. Blocking storage may affect saved preferences, drafts and measurement.
Who receives it
We use these services to run the website and handle the activities described above:
- Supabase: stores enquiry records.
- Resend: sends enquiry details to us by email.
- Kit: stores newsletter email addresses and interest tags, and sends newsletter and welcome emails.
- Calendly: handles bookings made through our booking link.
- PostHog: receives website usage and form event data when configured.
- Vercel: hosts the website, processes website requests and provides Web Analytics.
- LinkedIn: receives Insight Tag visit and conversion data when enabled.
Some of these providers may process or store information overseas, including in the United States. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies and our service arrangements. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and correspondence records for as long as needed to respond, manage the business relationship and meet any record-keeping obligations. Newsletter details are kept while you are subscribed; a limited record may be retained after you unsubscribe to respect your choice. Analytics and advertising retention depends on the provider and account settings. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request its deletion.
Security
Enquiry storage and email delivery run through server-side services, with service credentials kept out of the public form code. The enquiry database is configured to restrict public access. No online service can guarantee complete security. Please contact us if you think your information has been exposed or misused.
Access and correction
Email hello@futurecapable.com.au to ask for access to personal information we hold about you, or to correct it. We may need to check your identity before sharing or changing a record. If we cannot fulfil your request, we will explain why and how you can raise a complaint.
Unsubscribing
Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email, or email hello@futurecapable.com.au and ask us to remove you from the mailing list. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not change LinkedIn advertising settings; use the controls linked above for those.
Privacy complaints
Contact us first at hello@futurecapable.com.au with the details of your concern so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) about making a privacy complaint.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or our services change. The current version will be available on this page with its last updated date.
